A downloadable game

Beneath the trees, born from the soil, lie the Root Lands. In the old forests, trees are rarely stationary. Slowly over aeons, their migrations have created a jumble of passages, caves, and ecosystems carved out by their roots. Scattered throughout the soil and rock, a vast network of interconnected tunnels has formed, stretching beneath the world's woodlands. Behold the bizarre and terrible flora of this sunken realm, the creatures of its eternal night, and those cursed denizens of the overworld who have sought refuge in its depths.

This booklet contains a generator for places and encounters in the Root Lands, compatible with the adventure game Cairn. It uses a dice drop mechanic to build a point-crawl. Wardens and Players might want to use the Dungeon Exploration Rules in the Cairn Adventurer's Guide to coordinate the crawl.

The tables or entries can also be used on their own as part of any game of Cairn. There are twenty new creatures and NPCs and six new Relics. Descriptions are aimed at being short, evocative, and open-ended. I’m hoping it’s a fun toolkit!

This is awesome! I just have one question:

Where do I find the d66 table of encounters?

(+1)

Hi, sorry for taking so long to reply. The d66 encounter table is pages 8-13. The headers are the first d6:
1. Creatures
2. Dwellings
3. Hazards
4. Travellers
5. Weird Places
6. Geography
Then the items on each of those pages are labelled 1-6 for second d6.

Ah! Right! Thanks!

No problem. Hope you enjoy the module!
